The Cleveland Institute of Music commissions a new pipe organ

We are pleased to announce that C.B. Fisk has been selected to build a two-manual organ for the Cleveland Institute of Music. The instrument will reside in the recently renovated, state-of-the-art Kulas Hall, a venue designed with cutting-edge acoustic technology to provide an unparalleled concert and educational experience. Delivery is scheduled for 2028.

Over the years we have gained extensive experience creating organs in conservatory and educational settings. Designing an organ for an active academic program presents duel challenges of giving authentic voice to music of the past while anticipating and encouraging future composition and performance.

Fisk organs at Hong Kong Baptist University, Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, the Oberlin College Conservatory, Rice University, Furman University, Oklahoma University, Southern Methodist University, Wellesley College, and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, all represent a deep collaboration with faculty, acousticians, architects and University governance. Each is unique and each fulfills the individual requirements of their institutions.

We are excited to begin.
