The organ began life in 1855 as E. & G.G. Hook Opus 1352. Charles Fisk held the Hooks in great esteem, and as in earlier restoration projects, sought to retain the core of their work. The instrument was reconditioned and its case enhanced to match the classical revival architecture of the early 19th century church. It was repositioned in a gallery at the front of the church with a new detached console to facilitate accompanied choral repertoire. Assigned Fisk Opus number 61, the two-manual, twenty-three stop organ was completed in 1972.
